In-app chat enables drivers to communicate with riders directly within their corresponding app which reduce the off platform communications.

Note: The rider can chat with the driver only after accepting the trip request. Once the ride is completed the chat and the chat history won’t be available to the rider.

Steps to chat with rider:

  • Whenever the rider requests a ride, you will be notified and you will have two options whether to accept or reject.
  • After accepting the ride, the driver is able to see the rider’s pick-up and drop-off details and have the option to cancel, chat and call the rider from the trip planner page.

Click on the ‘Chat’ option to communicate with the rider.

Whenever the rider sends the message to the driver, there will be a red dot on the ‘Chat” option as an indication of a new message received from the rider, at the same time the driver will receive a push notification on when the new message received.

The rider name will be displayed on the header of the chat screen and the messages will be shown along with message received time.

The chat can be continued until the ride gets completed by the driver.
